The Real Brotet was formed in the winter of 2013, a bitter Boston winter where there was nothing to do except hang out...and play music. The band grew in a musical environment known as Apartment B1 on Hemenway street, with many of Boston's top musicians. The Brotet aims to bring a fun and fresh sound to a style of swing music that was born over one hundred years ago, as well as doing live performances around Boston and wherever we can bro.

This EP was recorded in NEC ensemble room 354. We recorded on August 26th, 2014, right before Tommy was going to move to New York, and Clay was moving back home to Wisconsin. It was a last minute effort to capture the musical spirit we had at the time, in hopes of performing again together soon.

The Bro Sessions Volume One is available for free streaming. However, if you are willing to skip the second cup of coffee and purchase the album, your donations will help fund production of the album, as well as travel expenses for future touring/gigs. We hope you enjoy!
